My Name is Jerson Santos

This is a boring day, so might I might as well post a none sense post.

Since I was a child, I always wonder why did my parents gave me the name Jerson. You know like compared it to my siblings ( Shiela, Elizalde, Elizabeth, Artemio). They even got nicknames, uhm well, i do have, but what like jengkoy and engkoy(compared to Lei,Boy,Gay,Jojo). They said that it was given to me by my godmother.

As time goes by, I started to wonder if my name is unique (eventually, i found out that it is not). I always thought that it is a variation of the name "Jason" or "Jayson". Even my teachers mistaken my name as Ja(y)son. I always wonder what my name really means. I mean that everyone knows their name or where it originates. You can even find their names in baby books. Mine? Up to now, I really don't know what my name really means, I don't even saw my name in baby books. It is not a combination of my father's and mother's name, well not that I want my name to be like that ( Imagine Artelindo or Rosamio, eew!) . Its just that all I know that it was given by my godmother for the reason of heaven knows what.

During my toddler years, I wanted to have a good nickname. For some strange reason I wanted my nickname to be JC, first got the idea from a burger house near our school,Jaycee, and my Initials are JCS, so minus the S. But that don't succeed, I still ended up with Jerson. All my elementary life upto 2nd year Highschool, I got no nickname. Although sometime in my elementary life they called me Daddy Jerson.

Then came third year, a certain friend started calling me Je. Then everybody in our class adopted the name Je so I started using that nickname since then. Actually, almost all of my college friends and 3rd year and 4th year friends called me Je while my elem and 1st-2nd year friends call me Jerson no big actually.

Then came fourth year college when Nina started to call me Jerbyness and it evolves to Jerby and now Honeypie started calling me Jerbs. Removing the R is strictly forbidden.

Actually, the people who I allow to call me Je are those who are close to me. I don't usually use Je when I'm not comfortable with the crowd. Well, while I'm here in Starcom, Ms. Becky, the HR, don't want me to use Je as my nickname and she said that we should settle with Jerson so that it sounds more business like. Given my name, Jamie gave me a new nickname, Jersky. So almost everyone in Starcom is starting to call me Jersky. Eventually, Jersky started to have variations thanks to Ms. Liza. Jersky became Jerky and worse it became Jerk. Hehehe.

I won't be hypocrite and say that I don't want my name changed given a chance. There are still times that I'm thinking to change my name in some sort of more maganda and I know the meaning of my name. But then again, my name brought me where I'm at right now and I met wonderful persons with my name so I should settle na lang with my name. Name doesn't really matter naman talaga. It doesn't matter what your name means, what matters is how will you give meaning to your name.

Besides Jerson is not as common as Mary Ann*.;P

yup another life's simple pleasure. I love the rain except of course if I'm outside and the rain will cause so much incovenience on my part. I love it when I'm inside the house, the rain is not so hard nor its not ambon. Tamang ulan lang. Its very relaxing. Malamig yung panahon, masarap matulog, masarap magbasa ng book and humigop ng mainit na sabaw....

The Wedding

Until now, may nag-vivideoke pa rin sa labas. (See previous post)

So the much talked about wedding of my cousin is officialy over. Actually, I hate attending wedding ceremonies especially if hindi ako abay or wala akong special participation or hindi ko super duper close yung kinakasal. Why? Wala lang, nakakatamad lang and it always reminds me of my miserable singlehood (Bitter? hehehe). Seriously, I'm really not fond of attending wedding ceremonies lalo na pag kamag-anak. But today, I was obliged to attend the wedding because I have a important role to play, taga-kuha ng video at tagapicture ng aking mahal na ina at kapatid. Kasi sponsors sila sa kasal. Ayoko na ngang sumama kaninang umaga kasi medyo sabog ako ka-chat ko si Pau till 3am tas ginising ako ng 6:30 ng umaga kamusta naman di ba?

Grabe sobrang pagod ako kasi like mega kuha ako ng video at pictures the whole duration ng ceremony pati ng reception.Some shared the same comment though,hindi masaya yung kasal. You know, the celebration itself is not as masaya as it should be. Oh well...

Compulsary Day Off

Yey! Today is my compulsary day off!

So you may ask why do I have a compulsary day off? Well its a sort of payment of rendering work over time to the point that you need to stay till past twelve midnight at the office. Actually, I promised myself that I will not do overnight again but I was soo wrong.

Last tuesday, Meann and I watched the advance screeing of The Break Up. Wala lang I'm quite disappointed with the ending but the thing is the ending very realistic although syempre I'm expecting more. Although that is not the highlight of the night. Freaking I was interviewed after the screening,you know the "The movie is great!" thing. Peste kasi si Meann nagmamadali kaya ayun naharang ako bigla with the camera and all. So guys if I'll be lucky enough my interview may be aired in ETC. Thank God that was Cable if its a local tv thing, I'm really gonna die. Hehehe.

Wednesday, I really have no plans na magovernight sa work. But the freaking bastard asked me to finish the work I'm doing that night. Nakakainis it was originally set on thursday and bigla nya akong mamadaliin given na may mas urgent na work na pinapagawa sa akin prior to that. Syempre mahaba yung gagawin namin and I asked for additional reinforcement but no isa lang ang binigay nya at nagdagdag na lang sya nung gabi. Buti na lang masaya yung mga kasama kong nag-overnight kami. Hay naku kung dati mega bow ako sa iyo ngayon sobrang hindi na.

Thurday, tanghali na akong pumasok kasi nga nag-overnight kami. Ayun din pinaalam ko na rin na i-aavail ko na yung cdo ko this friday. Weird thing hindi ako masyadong harass ng araw na ito kasi after kong mag-implement eh wala na akong ginawa. Although the sad part of it is seeing a super jolly person cry. Grabe sobrang nabreak ang heart namin nung nakita namin syang umiyak kasi parang sya na lang yung nagbibigay ng comic relief sa group. Hayz, I really hate thursday talaga.

So here comes friday. So ayun planado na ang araw ko. Thursday pa lang pinlano ko na ang mga gagawin ko. Una, magpapa-id ako sa SSS, then punta ako ng robinson at magpapagawa ako ng new pair ng bifocals. After that punta ako ng UP. As usual hindi natuloy ang plan ko. Nung nagpunta ako sa SSS ang sabi sa akin eh off line daw yung sa id nila tapos naman ayun nakapagpagawa ako ng salamin. Since kinancel ko yung pagpunta ko sa UP kasi nagtext si Meann na sasama sa gala ko at hihintayin ko pa syang lumabas, mineet ko muna si Peña. Eh ang walanghiyang Penny eh binroadcast kaya ayun napilitan tuloy akong harapin yung mga former team mates ko. Pero before nun, sinamahan ko muna si Penny at Bai na magpa-encash ng check at ayun nakita ko na naman yung crush ko sa HSBC hehehe. So ayun, ok naman yung lunch with former teammates from ACNielsen. Thanks nga pala Penny for the treat!

So there punta na ako sa Megamall kasi dun yung meeting place namin ni Meann ng 3pm. So habang wala sya, bumili muna ako ng book 6 ng BEERKADA:BEERKADA OFFCAMPUS at ng office stuffs tas biglang text ang Meann na malalate sya. So umupo muna ako sa lobby at nagbasa. Guess what time dumating ang Meann:4pm! May text pa syang ganito na:"Guadalupe na ako 15 minutes" and she texted that at 3:05pm. Pero infairness naman kay Meann,nilibre nya ako hehehe.Thanks Meann!;P

Hay naku, as of ginagawa ko ito me nagvivideoke pa rin dito sa labas namin gudlak naman di ba? Tas may pinakilala pa sa akin! Haller not interested.

Hay naku pinapapasok ako bukas pero wala akong balak pumasok. Haller,I'm having a life here. Sabi nga ni Meann, "alcoholic" daw ako. Figure it out.

Everything Has A Reason

Last Friday I went to UP to visit a friend na matagal ko ng hindi nakikita si Inang. I thought hindi kami magkikita kasi naman hindi ako nirereplyan sa text (although she insist na nagrereply sya) tas tuwing tinatawagan ko yung phone nya laging un-attended. Pero luckily nat-timingan ko sya.

Ayun I really missed my Inang Ang tagal na nung huli naming kita at kwentuhan ever. One thing that I like about Inang, supportado nya ang mga bawat kilig ko sa buhay hehehe. Yung tipong kaya kong magkwento sa kanya with full emotions. I really miss nagging her din hehehe
Like the last time na ninag ko sya about sa pagpapahirap nya sa mga freshies. Tas syempre lumabas na mas terrorist ako pag naging teacher ako kasi mega lait ako sa mga pinapass kay Inang. Imagie formal study tas ang pasimula mo eh "everything has a reason" hehehe.

Make Overs

I got my room a make over...uhm actually my sister did the make over thing. My bed (which is actually a pile up of old beds) was disposed and it is replaced my old bed back in Pasig. This is smaller than my old bed but this is more comfortable than the older one.

I also got the latest version of YM which allows a cross IM betwenn Yahoo users and MSN. It takes me almost two hours to download the blasted thing. Ang bilis kasi ng vibe eh asar.

Freaking, would you believe that I'm almost in tears while watching the Bruce Almighty movie. Well, kinda nakarelate ako sa dun sa part of letting go of someone or wishing someone you love happiness even if it means that their happines is not with you. Wala lang.

I'm kinda guilty of not going to office today but well..after what happened last thursday, I think I deserve this saturday break. Sigh..

That is not like you. You always emphasize that we work to live not we live to work. You always know the importance of balancing work life and social life. Sure you sometimes do overtime but not as frequent as you are doing it right now. Some of your friends at the office are telling you to take some break, to slow things down but you don't want to listen. Work is getting the better of you.

Yeah sure you go out once in a while but that is not enough.

You are starting to have less time for yourself, less time for leisure and friends. Its now all about work...work and more work..
You only go home to sleep, to take a bath and to eat. Sometimes watching TV is a burden.

You got to have your life back.

Buhay Pa Naman

Just an answer for Shiela's tag.

Yup..I've been into series of overtime lately doing the hideous ctarp aka "make-my-nose-bleed". Lately, the ot became overnight. Yup, people walang tulugan na naman po ito. This will be the second time if ever na nag-overnight ako because of work pero sa Starcom first time pa lang. The difference? yung una kong overtime naka-uwi ako to catch up some sleep and pumasok ako around 1pm na. Sa latest ko, walang uwian tuloy tuloy ang work and some people are a little bit insensitive. I know everyone is busy pero a little bit of sensitivity sana sa mga taong walang tulog. Yeah siguro, I sound mataray and all pero sana naman di ba stress+puyat gandang combination di ba?

Talking about being workaholic. I'm a bit surprised with myself with the things na ginagawa ko in terms of my work. Hindi naman kasi ako ganito dati. Lalo na nung nasa Nielsen ako yung tipong pasong paso ako pag lumalagpas ako ng 5:30 sa office. Tipong ang motto ko nun eh wala na ako ng 5:31 hehehe. Kung mag-ot man ako tipong sobrang kailangan na. Eh dito tipong naninibago ako pag umuuwi ako ng may araw pa at 7pm ay hindi ko pa kinoconsider na OT. Hayz, nung may nakausap ako sa ym nung kalaliman ng gabi nung thursday same silang reaction:"WORKAHOLIC KA". Wag naman sana...Hindi ata maganda yun. At least may reward gaya ng free magazines (1k+ worth of mag! from the publishers of cosmo, fhm,marie claire.) at free advance screening/premier night passes (united 93, pirates of the carribean, nacho libre). Hays..

Anyways, I'm really thankful to my friends. Sobrang natouch ako sa inyo. Especially to Nice and Jae. Wala lang sobrang naappreciate ko yung ginawa nyo that time, I'm sure you know what I mean by this. I'm really happy that naging friends ko kayo and I never expected that you will stand up for me.Nice sobrang thanks talaga. Dami ko ng utang sa iyo.

Sabi nila I looked like sick and magcocollapse any minute during that time but some people didn't quite see that. I wonder if I show a different aura sa iba't ibang tao hehehe.

KWENTONG MAY LANDI

I think I'm falling for kulet na...

Remember the last time na parang na hurt ako sa ginawa nya? The other day kasi nagkasakit sya, eh nag-ot sya nun. I'm so worried sick. AS in hindi ko matiis na hindi sya tanungin if ok lang sya. Tas absents sya, part of me malungkot na wala sya. Sigh. Buti ok na sya and I'm sooo happy, happy sya dun sa binigay ko ahihihi.

Si Class A wala pa uling close encounter sa kanya na katulad nung car thingy pero we have our share of kilig moments din ahihihi

Meann's Movie Date

Meann and I watched the movie premiere of The Pirates of the Carribean:Dead Man's Chest.

Syempre pag magkasama kami, always expect bloopers.

Although minimal lang ang bloopers namin ngayon, actually as far as I remember isa lang naman yung blooper namin. Yun ay hindi namin nakita ang cinemas sa Rockwell! Wahahaha! As in ayaw naming mag-effort magtanong sa guard. Wahahaha. Pero in the end napilitan na ring magtanong si Meann.

Meann: Manong saan po yung mga cinemas dito?
Manong: Dun sa last floor sa kabilang dulo.
Me and Meann(after makalayo kay manong): Saang last floor? Taas or baba?

Hmmm.. Kung tatanungin nyo ako about dun sa movie erm... nakatulog ako while watching the movie. Hehehe. Kasi masama na talaga yung pakiramdam ko. Kaya nung nagising ako mga bandang middle na nung movie sobrang lost ako hehehe.

Without our knowledge, katabi pala ni Meann si Judha Paolo (see Meann's Entry for more info). Syempre ang Meann kulang na lang magtitili sa Rockwell nung palabas kami sa sobrang kilig. Actually, ako yung nakakita nung hinihintay ko si Meann na tumayo. Hehehe. Yak sana nga lang hindi nya narinig yung mga comments namin ni Meann like:

"Inaantok ako.."

at ang the best...

"Anu raw? bakit sila nagtatawanan?" -Meann (para lang clear hehehe)

Ang sabi ko nga kay Meann, sila mga higher form of life kami mga low class citizen lang wakekeke.

Closing Time

Its officially over.

I called quits, its over.

Yup its hard, breaking something that you thought that would be a lot different from the previous one. Although this time, I'm the one who walked away. I think this is better. Ayaw nya but I made my decision. Its a lot better hurting for now that hurting each other over and over again.

We tried to work things out. We thought that we can make it. But I guess, the stars are not on our side. Again, good things never last. Now the dreaming ends.

The feeling of loneliness suddenly struck me and I said I will survive beside hindi ko pa naman sya ganun kamahal. I've been through a lot of things, worse than this and I survive why can't I survive this?

I felt hurt when Kulet shove me aside. I mean I know its a joke but well, I don't know maybe napikon ako or what butit hurts. After that incident, I felt aloof with him, and I really have a bad day and I feel depress. Together with the news that Nice and Kay are moving outside of our room...Aargh no more chatmates during the office hours. Anyways, Kulet made bawi naman when inask nya ako if I'm ok...Sigh..

Another Dream Came True

Short post lang

I thought yesterday would just be an ok day but was I soo wrong.

Pauwi na ako ng makasabay ko si Class A and then Class A asked me kung saan ako nakatira and nung nalaman nyang sa Pasig ako ayun na sinabi nya na sumabay na lang ako sa kanya. Ahihihi.

Wala lang sobrang nice nya. Syempre alangan namang tahimik lang while nagddrive sya syempre kwentuhan and all..

I'm sooo happy! heheheh.=)

So Into Commercials

Arrgh Guess what... I've watched the Mano-A-Mano special as in the whole thing including the undercards and the worst thing I've watched the super duper delayed telecast of ABS-CBN(C'mon in the live feed from our cable, na hindi pay per view, Manny Pacquiao won at around 12pm while in ABSCBN he won at around 3:30 na). The reason? I'm not a boxing enthusiast,I need to monitor the commercials of our brand! I never been so excited for commercial gaps. Actually, I really need to watch din the fight because I need to monitor the logos of our brand na nagfflash. So its like mas nakatingin ako sa mga nagflash kesa dun sa fight. Although nakakatuwa na puro Pinoy ang nanalo pero corny ang mga laban. I mean basta hindi exciting.

This is really the first time that I didn't enjoy watching TV...

Chocolate Milkshake

I've changed my addy again, just want to make my blog semi-private. I'm so fed up of sharing my entries to the entire blog readers. So I just keeping it private for a while at least. Well, what really pissed me off was the idea of after 2 days of changing your blog addy, the period when you are not announcing it yet to all, some people links were already updated. I mean common have at least the decency of waiting for the person to inform you first about his or her new addy before changing your link. PLEASE IF YOU'LL LINK MY BLOG JUST PLEASE INFORM ME FIRST OK???

So why milkshake? because it is my latest addiction from McDonalds. I really love chocolate milkshake!!! Although parang cruel ang destiny sa akin at after nung first time na makatikim ako hindi pa ako nakatikim uli, either hindi available sa store or out of stock na. Freak!

I'm really enjoying my work right now sa Starcom. Masaya ang team and let's just say na naeenjoy ko yung ginagawa ko. Although there were times na parang sobrang gusto ko ng umayaw..hehehe. Kaemail ko si Cesar Montano!!!! Wahehehe.

Last thursday sobrang weird kasi ang aga kong umuwi and ako ang naunang umalis sa office sa team which is very unusual hehehe. At syempre nakasabay ko si Zel sa FX hehehe.
